We refer to the announcement dated 8 September 2011 in relation to the Proposed Capital Distribution by DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of DiGi ("DiGiTel").
On behalf of the Board of Directors of DiGi, Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad is pleased to announce that DiGiTel has on 1 November 2011 issued 100,000 redeemable preference shares ("RPS") to DiGi. The RPS will be redeemed by DiGiTel on 7 March 2012. Upon redemption of the RPS, DiGi will receive cash proceeds of approximately RM509 million and is expected to distribute such amount (less expenses) to the shareholders of DiGi by the first half of 2012, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
